Jefferson County's Building Department ensures that construction projects conform to the adopted building codes. The department assists the public under the general direction of the Commissioners.
How to Submit
Building Permits - Applications for building permits (in PDF format) can be e-mailed to Building Permits. We will be launching a new software system in several weeks. The Cityworks Software will enable you to upload your application into the system. We will be updating our links to the new program when it is available.
Inspections - Scheduling building permit inspections may be done by phone.
Variances and Conditional Use Permits - Variances and Conditional Use Permits may be submitted and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
We will accept cash, check or electronic payment. If you elect to use an electronic payment Access Idaho will add a 2.5 percent service fee in addition to the Jefferson County fees.
